How much does furnace installation cost in Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge?

Short answer
With RBD, an installed Napoleon furnace starts at $4,528 before HST for the Good tier. That price includes the furnace and a standard installation. Your exact price depends on the furnace you choose and any optional add-ons, and you can see it in the price builder.

Starting installed prices

Each price is the furnace equipment plus the required standard installation, before HST.

What the standard installation includes

  • Furnace positioning and installation
  • Thermostat and control wiring
  • Standard gas-line retrofit
  • Standard PVC intake and exhaust retrofit
  • Old furnace removal and responsible disposal
  • Standard electrical connection
  • Condensate and drainage setup
  • Commissioning, safety checks and cleanup

What isn’t included

  • HST, shown separately at review.
  • Optional air conditioning: a 2-ton condenser and matched coil installation can be added as a bundle in the builder.
  • Optional new thermostat: you can keep your existing thermostat at no cost.
  • Site-specific work beyond a standard installation, such as unusual venting, gas, electrical or access conditions. These are confirmed at the verification visit and shown to you before you approve.

What can change the price

The online price assumes a standard replacement. During the in-home verification we confirm safety, code, access and equipment fit. If a justified addition is needed, we itemize it before you approve anything. We’ll verify the installation in person and show you any necessary adjustments before work begins. If we accept the project under our 15% Price Promise, your price will not increase by more than 15%.

Frequently asked questions

Is the online price an estimate?
No. It is the price for a standard installation of the package you choose. After the in-home verification, any justified additions are itemized before you approve, and for projects RBD accepts under the 15% Price Promise, the final price will not exceed the online price by more than 15%.
Is HST included in the starting prices?
No. Starting prices are before tax. HST (13%) is shown separately in the price builder’s review screen.
Do I pay anything to book?
No payment is taken online. You reserve an in-home verification visit, and no work begins without your approval.
