1. Agreement

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Residential Building Design ("RBD", "we", "us") website and any services you request through it. By using this site, requesting your Furnace Package Price, or booking an installation, you agree to these Terms.

2. Your Furnace Package Price and 15% Price Promise

Your Furnace Package Price is based on the equipment and installation packages you select through the online builder, priced for standard installation conditions. Submitting a reservation does not create an accepted installation contract. RBD verifies the project, equipment, scope, access, venting, electrical, gas, drainage, safety, code requirements and installation complexity before acceptance. Required adjustments are itemized and disclosed before customer approval. For projects RBD accepts under the 15% Price Promise, the final contracted price will not exceed the online price by more than 15%. If rare existing or site conditions require an increase greater than 15%, the Price Promise does not apply; RBD may provide a separate quote or decline the project, and the customer may decline that quote. No work proceeds without the customer’s acceptance.

3. Deposits & Payment

A deposit may be required to confirm your installation date. Deposit amounts, balance due, and accepted payment methods will be set out in your booking confirmation or invoice. Deposits are applied to your final invoice and are refundable up to the cancellation window listed in your confirmation.

4. Scheduling & Cancellations

Installation dates are confirmed once your deposit is received and a site review is complete. We ask for at least 48 hours' notice to reschedule or cancel. Cancellations made within the 48-hour window may be subject to a restocking or trip charge.

5. Workmanship & Warranty

Our installation workmanship is warranted for the term stated in your package documentation. Equipment is covered by the manufacturer's warranty (for example, Napoleon residential HVAC warranties). Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, unauthorized modification, or events outside our reasonable control.

6. Customer Responsibilities

• Provide accurate property and contact information.
• Ensure safe access to the work area on the install date.
• Disclose known issues with electrical, ductwork, or refrigerant systems.
• Obtain any condo or HOA approvals required for outdoor equipment.

7. Permits & Codes

RBD installs are performed by licensed technicians and conform to applicable provincial and municipal codes (including TSSA, ESA, and HRAI standards). Permit fees, where required, may be included in your Furnace Package Price or itemized separately.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RBD's total liability for any claim relating to the website or services is limited to the amount you paid for the services giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. Website Use

You agree to use the website only for lawful purposes. All content — including text, graphics, logos, and the Furnace Price Builder interface — is owned by RBD or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without our written permission.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Ontario.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the site or our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
